Flight to the Falklands

Writer's picture: Buddy the GlobetrotterBuddy the Globetrotter

As promised, I'll be posting photos (weekly) of travels to the places highlighted in the Buddy the Globetrotter fiction travel series, sequentially. On an Expedition to the Frozen Continent, we enjoyed beautiful aerial views of the topography, mountains, and volcanoes of South America en route to the Falklands. Below is a photo of those snow-capped dormant volcanoes and mountain ranges. In addition, a view of the mirror-image West and East Falkland Islands is shown. Port Stanley, capital of the Falklands is along the Far East coast. Much of the area around Port Stanley appears desolate with rock runs left by glaciers and brown tall grass and bogs.
